The Jerusalem Post hosted an event “power by the Luzzatto Group” called the Women Leaders Summit at Google for Startups Campus in Tel Aviv on March 27, 2024 for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Award.
This year the event had a very different atmosphere given the events of October 7 and the ongoing war.
The event featured a pitch competition of 5 female founders of startup companies that made the cut to the finals.
A panel of three judges chose the winner. The judges were: Dr. Esther Luzzatto, CEO at The Luzzatto Group and chairwoman of the Council for the Advancement of Women in Science and Technology. Tamar Luzzatto, co-CEO and head of business development, marketing, and innovation at The Luzzatto Group. The third judge, Dr. Gili Bittan-Banin, is the head of innovation at Bazan Group.“ We are privileged to host this competition for the third year,” said Tamar Luzzatto.
Gila Gamliel, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, made the opening address. Gila prophetically wrapped up her address remarking that security technologies would be critical in Israel.
Tamar Luzzatto made a dedication to Amit Sousanna, an attorney in The Luzzato Group. Amit bravely fought her kidnappers on October 7 and she returned to Israel after more than 50 days in captivity.
