Transportation

Optimize your operating and emergency procedures and make your infrastructure more safe and secure.

The problem

Large transportation hubs such as ports, airports, and train stations are dynamic, complex environments. They comprise large physical space governed by regulations & security priorities. Numerous incidents can happen in different locations at the same time. Most of these are low risk and can be managed by local guards. Others are more complex. Each event must be evaluated, assessed for risk, managed quickly and without incident so operations can continue seamlessly.

Field guards responding to an alert are reliant on information relayed to them from operations. They approach the incident blind, using only the information from different operators, and must use their own training and skills to moderate risk.

Smaller public and private airports have installed shooter detection systems for such events and like their larger counterparts, they have control rooms and guards. But after a shot is fired, the intruder moves and becomes invisible again.

Solution

Liquid360 adds another dimension, literally, for these facilities to view, assess and manage their space. It allows for portability and access to other employees responsible for security. Liquid360 lets field personnel detect and respond to events in their specific area independently, and with all the information available to the control room. If centralized command is preferred, events can be referred to field personnel who can then use their own tablets for approach and evaluation allowing command center operators to move on to the next event without delay. At this time, our software is best suited to smaller airports, especially those that have recognized the value of shooter detection systems, which are immediately enhanced by Liquid360 which allows understanding of the shooter’s movements between events.
